Aisha Schliessler is a writer and director based in Los Angeles and London.
A third-generation filmmaker, life behind the camera is in her blood.
As a narrative director, Aisha is passionate about exploring the human psyche from a nuanced and stylistic point of view. Her emphasis on character and emotional storytelling is often matched with a sense of playfulness and irony. A love for architecture, fashion, and photography serves as a throughline in her work, as she always strives to create visually compelling worlds for her characters to inhabit. With a background in acting, Aisha is able to communicate thoughtfully with talent and guide performances from a place of compassion and understanding for the craft.
Aisha’s work spans a wide range of projects, including narrative shorts, music videos, and commercials, which have been featured on notable platforms such as Free The Work, Booooooom TV, Girls In Film, No Budge, and Film Shortage.
Her short film, RHINESTONE BLUE made in collaboration with FUJIFILM, screened at several prestigious festivals, including The Vail Film Festival, Beverly Hills Film Festival, and the Idyllwild International Festival of Cinema. The film also won a Telly Award, a Cannes Corporate Media & TV Award, and received several festival awards, including Best Short Drama.
Other recent projects include the music video for JOSIE by Liza Owen at Epic Records, large-scale social campaigns for PELOTON and LULULEMON, and the short film THE CALL, starring Juno Temple.
She is currently in development on her first feature film.
